Ahh the classic C vs. N war.. Great thread. Too bad you don't such a thread in this forum anymore. Also nice to see some long time members in the early stages.

Ah yes those were the days...a shame that old forum spirit is no more.

Just for the record, I ended up buying a 50mm 1.4 that I use way more than the 28-70 2.8 Wink

remember the K64 vs provia wars too? Smile

Would be great if we could get some of that spirit back.

Any time you want to start a thread, I'm in! K64 all the way!

From memory I ended up with a 50mm f2.8 out if it. It lives on the D60 for kid portraits these days.......when they decide to stand still that is.

Canon all the way!

Javier, Viv was talking about MOVING subjects; real movement starts at 100km/h; never seen a sportsman run, swim or jump that fast!!!!  Wink
But it's true if the subject doesn't move too quickly you might actually get a decent shot from a Canon (from time to time --> remember your 200+ tries for an A2A shot Javier!!?? Big grin)

Thierry

The best part of the picture is the group of slaved remotes down along the fence. I guess they just set them up and fire away when the runners are close?

There's quite a few Nikons there

Not every black lens means "my first S... ehhh sorry Nikon".
I see a lot Canon with Sigma on top which is logical as Sigma outperforms Canon in every aspect at the moment  stirthepot
Basically I see only 2 groups: 1.(canon with canon L) a bunch of stupids who still don't know that you can have better quality for half the price.
2.(canon with sigma) a bunch of clever people who don't care what is on the badge but go for the ultimate quality/price performance.
(nikonians)And a few people who are probably still wandering how that Sinclair Spectrum works which they are holding.

Cheers.
