The old one was better. It was easy on the eye unlike now and also the older one just looked alot less cluttered than the new one. At least they kept that smart looking gray color... The Oryx is also too big on the tail to actually look good.

Quoting Jbguller (Reply 8): Do you think QF will end up using this on one of their first delivered A380s??
Let me tell you, that looks HUNDREDS of times better than the revision Airbus had flying around. I put in my vote .

About QR, with the picture, it's hard to tell... And the angle on the plane is not the best to catch the livery, but, whatever, time will tell...

That would be FANTASTIC. The A380 with some kind of classic livery, in 3 letters: wow.

Quoting Stirling (Reply 13): Eurowhite just does not do the A380 any justice at all I'm afraid.
True. This is the first pic of a 380 I thought actually looked GOOD, not just okay.
I think the cheatline and black eyeliner really deemphasize the forhead and stubiness of the 388. I imagine it would look even better on a 389.

Quoting AirbusfanYYZ (Reply 5): IIRC, it's the mythical Persian "Homa".
Cheers,

You may have noticed that Qatar Aw. is an Arabian airline, and as such would not use a Persian symbol.
The company logo represents the Arabian Oryx, an endangered species in Qatar.
25 Boysteve: Are they trying to look the same style as EK? Having QATAR in large lettering on the side of their aircraft
26 Boeing777/747: Met just a new uploaded document: KLM A380 in retro livery.

30 AF-A319: Check that interview from AIRLINE BUSINESS, this may slightly change your perception of QR http://www.flightglobal.com/Articles...with+Qatar+Airways'
31 YOWza: That is tha CEO QR want you to see. In reality he's not quite that charming... trust me. I know a number of ex-QR employees. As for the new livery it
32 Bombayhog: Breiz, I believe the post about the "homa" was in reference to the Iran Air livery on the Lila Design website, not the Qatar one.
33 PillowTester: Geez all these A380s with cheatlines look awesome. First time I've liked the A380. The return of the cheatline please!!!
34 LPLAspotter: I like the old one better. The new one's tail has no resemblence to the oryx in the original livery. LPLAspotter
35 MIAMIx707: WOW Qantas! If the CEO or someone in the marketing department is reading this thread hopefully they'll consider painting an A380 in that super cool re
36 MIAMIx707: By the way, the updated version of the Qatar livery at least looks more interesting. That mostly grey body did nothing to turn heads. The only problem
37 Sunandan: I have a question... does making the exterior of an aircraft look stunning make people fly that airline? I agree that some of the concepts on the webs
38 Cedars747: I guess you are right,it's not professional. Alex!!!
39 Jbguller: I'm putting my vote in for yes, much like packaging for foods makes people prefer one food over another. In terms of the QF retro product seen above,
40 Scoliodon: The old livery of Qatar is better - hands down. But man..Is that TAAg Angolan design awesome or what? It's too good. I wanna paint my private jet like
41 Breiz: You are quite right. My apologies to AirbusfanYYZ!
42 Kappel: Truely fantastic, even better than the Qantas one. Too bad it will not happen. Never say never, but I don't think KLM will order the a380.
43 TS-IOR: Qatar Airways is relatively a new airline, and its present livery is elegant, the new one too !!! It's amazing and wonderful how some airlines are wor
44 JoeCattoli: I like the new qatar scheme... It's look more modern in my opinion... I also like the TAAG new livery.. I think it would be one of the best looking ai
