I'm not sure if this has been covered before and if these photos have done their rounds already here. But just wanted to share with you all.
A friend who represents Etihad cargo sales at YYZ forwarded these to me today with the following comment:
"Hi
I thought I would pass these along. These are pictures of the A-380 aircraft of Etihad’s that is still going through testing before delivery. Airbus flew it to the Middle East to do heat testing.
Enjoy

The airports used were Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. It did a 'show' flight on the first day from Al Ain, above Sharjah, Dubai and landed at Abu Dhabi. Height was established at 3,000ft. Some friends of mine and I were waiting for the plane on a beach in Dubai, but because of haze it was almost impossible to spot.

Thank you for the additional information as I knew very little except what had been sent to me in the original email.

Thanks for sharing Alan.
Now if only you could tell us when EY will be upgrading their YYZ service to a non-stop with the B77W or A345 that would indeed be a coup.

Thanks for showing
Can't wait to fly the beast
Quoting Speedbird128 (Reply 11): The airport with the A380 touching down is Al Ain (AAN) rwy 01/19. Basically in the middle of nowhere....
Yeah but it has a highway with palms, 5 tracks and a lot of green to the airport
Where you once there? Couldn't believe it But the best thing is: there is one flight per day... it's all for the air show there

I'm confused and ashamed of what I think of this pic... I hope I am mistaken but it really looks like a screenshot from Flight Simulator...
Vegetation doesn't seem right and the landing doesn't look realistic with the gear either!
Sorry I'm not convinced but again I hope I'm wrong...

Although not the best pics in the world, I'm gonna have to say these are the real deal.

Cool photo's. So the a380 has been in partial Qantas colours, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines and now Etihad. Why has there not been a single virgin sticker on any of the a380s!?!?! They seemed to have been left out!
Can you say 'Beer Can' without sounding like a Jamaican saying 'Bacon'?

The photographs are real.
The same shots as shown here, are available on Airbus.com, as is a video of the hot weather testing: Link
Enter the site, and under the 'Test' section, click on the link dated July 28th on the right hand side.
25 Rom1: Fair enough, ok thanks EGNR My mistake! Sorry lol
26 MotorHussy: I just love how small it looks. It's only when you've got a point of comparison that the proportions reveal their true identity and scale. MH
27 AirbusA6: Well, this plane is in Etihad colours as they're buying it! I look forward to seeing it land at LHR in the not too distant (ahem) future...Singapore
28 Vincewy: Besides LHR, where else would EY send their A380s?
29 Legoguy: I forgot to add Emirates to that list. Again it seems Virgin is being given the cold sholder!
