Upon arrival in to YYC, the 767 was offloaded, then towed to a parking pad. Shortly after a police vehicle was seen covering up the registration on the aircraft. Rumors are flying around YYC that this aircraft has been repossesed.
It was destined for YVR, and ACA and WJA appear to be oversold on YYC-YVR.

well, zoom's site shows that the flight from CDG/Calgary has not arrived in Vancouver, with no mention of a estimated arrival time. Scheduled arrival time would have been 1425, and it is now 1756 in VAN.

Quoting Pictues (Reply 7): True the plane was repossessed this from Zoom OPS, Mechanics and a pilot i talked to
So in otherwords you heard it from a friend of a friend who works in ops, who is a pilot?
Quoting Powercube (Reply 6): There's a Zoom plane here in YVR scheduled to go to CYYC before I depart, I shall try and update everyone with regards to what happens to it.
Apparently this has to do with financing, and with Zoom restructuring its financial investments to ensure future growth. Though if it weren't able to pay off ILFC and leasing aircraft, I'm not sure how positive this sounds.

there is a post on pprune, and i hate quoting other people's posts from another forum, but it also adds that their planes were 'almost denied access' to YYZ. Again, how true any of this is, who knows.
And if it is true that it was to do with finance restructuring, it seems a little extreme that restructuring would lead to repossessing a plane. Again, all speculation and rumors until something official comes out.

Ouch! Hopefully this ain't the end of operations from little Ottawa-based Zoom, our only "home" airline (even though they no longer operate most of their flights out of here), but reading the article, it doesn't look good at all!

Quoting Rikkus67 (Reply 15): I was @ YYC this afternoon, and watched a Zoom 767 take off sometime between 2:30 and 3:00PM... is it business as usual?
different plane. Sounds like it was only 1 plane that had its lease terminated. One can assume the rest of the fleet is operating normally, for now at least. However, with a fleet of only 5 planes, losing one is quite the problem.

There's still absolutely nothing posted on the Zoom website.
You would think that the company would wan't to immediately deter any concern about liquidiity or operations now that the repossession has hit the press. Since they're silent with regard to the whole episode, I fear the worst.

It will be interesting to see if ILFC will follow Aercap and repossess their aircraft. That would mean the end of Zoom.

Seems like Zoom might be zooming out of the sky sooner than later.
