Lack Of Security At An Airline

So while flying from W55/LKE to YWH/CYWH and back today on Kenmore Air (M5), I noticed in the terminals at both locations the lack of security features such as metal detectors. As most of my flying is done from a major airport like SEA, I am not quite used to this. Wouldn't it make more sense to still have even some sort of security at their little terminals? Now obviously my above statement doesn't include customs as that is a required part of flying internationally. I'm not saying that I love going through security lines, but doesn't it all make us feel the least bit safer? Besides this, M5 is definitely a thrill for a first time seaplane flight.

Why waste more money making people feel safer? Why not spend the money on measures that actually do make us more safe? (i.e. screening cargo placed on large passenger jets).

Agreed....I don't want to 'feel' safe, I actually want to be safe. I don't see how increased security in this particular case would be of any benefit, but I've been known to be wrong before.

No having some almost high-school graduate in a Blue TSA shit and white pith helmet looking at you pass through the metal detector while eating cheeze fries doesn't make you safe.

Frankly I prefer the security at small airlines to the big ones.

OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

This past year when 3M / Continental Connection was operating from gate J-1 in FLL they had no security. Pax would go from the airport terminal right to the aircraft, with no medal detectors of screening. I know some of the smaller airlines in FLL still use this gate....

I noticed that once flying from Flagstaff to PHX, the security check was after arriving PHX and before going into the terminal building there.

That was b4 9/11, amazing they haven't changed that procedure.
