Hi, everyone. I was a tiny bit bored, so I decided to ask you guys what some of the songs you absolutely hate and can't bear to listen to. Here is one of mine: Nights in White Satin by the Moody Blues. I don't know why, but I just hate it for some reason. What are some of your hated songs?
Those who think they know everything annoy those of us who actually do.

Any song that has the same line being sung for a whole song. "Who Let the Dogs Out" is a classic example of this. Why do people fall in love with that crap?!

Most songs released in the last 10 years or so...they lack imagination and creativity, especially when they sample good songs from days gone by. There are a few original bands around at the moment, such as The Feeling, but generally there is nothing that grabs my imagination and attention and instead have me listening to Radio 2!!
And don't even get me started on anything related to Barbie, Mr. Blobby or Bob the Builder...a pure insult to the senses!!

Quoting Bok269 (Reply 5): I kissed a girl by Katy Perry
I'll second this, it's so bad but it just gets stuck in your head.
Personally I just can't stand pretty much any rap song. For the most part,
it's so repetitive, vulgar, and completely pointless. It's hard to find a song these days
that doesn't cause me to think "why" when I hear it.

What?
That is one of the best songs ever recorded. I guess you are unaware of everything recorded since you've been alive.
The Moody Blues is one of the greatest bands out of the U.K.
They were one of the early pioneers of progressive rock.
It's best to listen to that entire album 'Days Of Future Passed' on a quadraphonic reel-to-reel tape.
Listening to it on an ipod or YouTube just ain't going to cut it.
I hate every song in these categories:
Grunge
Emo
Rap
Hip-hop
New Country (1988 and newer)
Top 40 (1991 and newer)
Punk

I love these threads
Can't stand:
Grace Kelly by Mika
Any rap. I hate rap with a passion.
I kissed a girl by Kate Perry.
The Pretender by The Foo Fighters (I don't like any of their songs)
Anything by:
The Jonas Brothers (girls just like them cuz they think their hot)
The Black Eyed Peas
The Offspring
Nirvana
Airborne
I try to avoid listening to most stuff that's played alot on the radio. Some of it's good. I listen to alot of metal bands that most people haven't heard of. So I don't have to worry about people posers saying they listen to them cuz I know they don't. Mostly underground metal that will never get on the radio; black metal, obscure thrash metal, blackened death metal, melodic death metal.
Quoting Dc9northwest (Reply 8): I hate pop-music... In pretty much any situation. Rihanna and others. I hate many songs.
I can't say I hate rap, but I never listen to it.

Agreed.

Agreed as well. Something else that bugs me about stuff from the last decade (and a half) is that most bands have singers that sound like they're always whining about something. Not necessarily the lyrics, but their voice. I don't know if 'whiney' is the right way to describe it, but I can't stand it.
Edit: Seems like we agree AustinAirport

"Sugar Shack" by Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs
But I guess I'm dating myself.
There is one more but if I so much as write the title it'll get stuck in my hea . . . damn!
The problem is the radio stations that do play that have forgotten that the Moody Blues actually recorded many other songs. Albums full of them in fact, much of it was quite good.
