Personally, if this works out, the Delta Connection carriers should be Piedmont for regular props (Piedmont/PSA merger), ASA, Air Wisky, SkyWest, and Republic for RJs (Comair liquidated), and Colgan Air for EAS flights (Mesa dumped entirely). I always thought Delta had the best regional carriers as their affiliates. I especially liked Comair and ASA.

I highly doubt they will cancel these flights. Like many other places that US flies that others dont are paid for by the government to add incentive for airlines to fly to these places. For instance Lebanon, NH KLEB is served by 3 B1900's by US Airways and Colgan x3 daily to LGA. This is easier for the few people who fly there than driving to Burlington or Manchester or god forbid Boston.
