Remark Photographer
YL-RAG (cn 340A-052) RAF Avia’s first 340 is pictured in the freight charter aircraft maintenance area with EMA's columnar control tower in the background. It has been resident here for a few months and is used for ad hoc freight charter work. The 340 started off as a joint venture between Saab and Fairchild, but the American company withdrew leaving Saab to make something of a success of it and eventually to develop it into the bigger Saab 2000.
